Gambling in Ukraine: sorting it out on the shelves
Gambling in Ukraine is an interesting phenomenon. They seem to be non-existent - they have been banned since 2009, but they seem to exist - signs of "super-mega lotteries" hang almost above the doors of the morgue. There is no need to talk about bans on the Internet. For example, you can easily get to the JoyCasino website using even without using a VPN. Airports, metro stations are hung with banners - this has not shocked anyone for a long time.
Since the advent of the World Wide Web, the attempt to ban gambling has been nothing more than the efforts of an unintelligent kid to stop a huge sea wave. One-armed bandits "moved" into computers connected to the server; gaming halls - to Internet clubs, where a friendly administrator will offer guests a cup of warming coffee and give access to a computer, and those who are lucky will win from a cardboard box standing in a drawer.
People come to such establishments in an attempt to relax and get away from everyday problems - "play solitaire", play "sapper". As if there is nothing to complain about the club - not for a dirty toilet or pirated software . Even if a check comes up, the administration has nothing to do with the online game that the visitors of the institution independently found on the network - how can they be held responsible for it?
All the money is securely hidden in a secluded place, there is no bookkeeping - an old shabby notebook does not count. They will not ask for the presence of wrinkles and bags under the eyes of the security guard of the establishment.

Bookmakers generally work in another country - they do not give any specifics or promises. All information is stored on the server - you can play and place bets while sitting at home in the same family houses. Money flows in intricate routes through several different countries. If you block such a bookmaker, two new ones will come in its place the next day. Websites are being cloned, go figure out the mirror maze of the electronic world.
If you want to play legally, fly to Warsaw. A plane ticket is cheaper than a trip to Konotop. Just a few hours and now you are already sitting in a smoky noisy hall - it does not matter that the money will go to the treasury of a friendly state! Here is the main consequence of the ban on gambling - the budget receives less money. What used to go in the form of taxes to the treasury is now going to kickbacks, a roof and maintaining the necessary connections.
Quite recently, a new bill was submitted to BP for consideration - it is not yet available in full, but it is already known that casinos and gambling halls at five-star hotels are waiting for legalization, control of finances and the public. There is nothing to say at the moment about the fate of the small halls.
It is foolish to turn a blind eye to the obvious - gambling cannot be banned, so why not allow it and not get income from it. Full legalization is expected to attract new flows of tourists to the resort areas of the Black Sea coast - and this will significantly increase the income of the state and improve social security. And most importantly, it will be possible to save the immature minds of minors from the dark, smoky clubs that everyone is allowed into.
